Katharine attends reception at Buckingham Palace to pick up the King’s Award for Enterprise 2023

On 27th June King Charles, Prince Edward and the Duchess of Edinburgh welcomed 148 of the UK’s top entrepreneurial businesses to the Palace in celebration of their achievements in winning The King’s Awards for Enterprise 2023.
A splendid occasion during which Katharine met and shook hands with the King and other members of the Royal family. She confessed it was a slightly surreal occasion and memories of the day will be treasured for a long time to come. A chance too to meet and talk to other category winners from businesses throughout the UK.
The accolades, which were previously known as The Queen’s Awards to Industry, were first presented in 1966 and are overseen by The Queen’s Awards Office at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. 6,500 businesses have subsequently become winners.
Fuel Storage Solutions win came in the Innovation category for our unique APIApipe™ ‘pipe in a pipe’, fully bunded pipework system that eradicates fire and environmental risks associated with pumping fuel in sensitive, live situations.
These are some of the Official photos of the event that we will treasure as a memento of a splendid day, none of which would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of the team at FSS.
