This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to expand their knowledge and develop new skills within the fuels environment. Fuel Storage Solutions (“FSS”) has been trading since 2002.  Due to our continuing success within the industry we are expanding our engineering teams. 

Summary

FSS is looking for an ambitious, hard-working, individual to be employed as a Junior Fuels Engineer.

The position will require the successful candidate to be part of its on-site engineering team to assist in completing various works ranging from small, one-off jobs, to major projects. The candidate should have good computer skills and be able to read AUTOCAD/schematics.  We will invest heavily in your training and provide continuous mentoring and support. You must be versatile, able to multi-task, and be open to learn new skills.

Fuel Storage Solutions (“FSS”) was established by owners and directors Katharine and Jonathan Barnett in 2002. It has been established for over 19 years and is located in Bradford with a good and stable customer base. Works are undertaken for many blue chip companies nationwide in.

Role details

  • Installation and removal of pipework, tanks and pumping systems
  • Problem solving
  • Commissioning and decommissioning of installations
  • Working as part of a team reporting to Contract/ Project Manager to complete engineering projects
  • Ensuring that projects are completed within agreed deadlines whilst meeting technical and safety standards
  • Supporting other Engineers
  • Complying with RAMS and health and safety at all times (working to strict requirements)

Experience and qualifications required:

Essential Requirements

  • Full driving licence
  • Be capable of obtaining security clearances
  • Have a strong work ethic and be willing to learn from others
  • Happy to work away from home during working week
  • Experienced or capable of working to high standard of H&S requirements including 5 point PPE

Beneficial

  • Pipe fitting experience but not essential
  • Experience and knowledge of basic civils
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

The position will not be restricted to electrical works but will include other works such as pipefitting.  It will require the successful candidate to be part of its on-site engineering team to assist in completing various works ranging from small, one-off jobs, to major projects.  FSS installs fuel tanks, pipework, pumps and other such equipment and, as part of these works, electrical equipment will be replaced, isolated, installed etc. 

The candidate should have good computer skills and be able to read AUTOCAD/schematics.  We will invest heavily in your training and provide continuous mentoring and support. You must be versatile, able to multi-task, and be open to learn new skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to us.

Based at our Head Office in Bronte Country we are offering a salary of circa £35k per annum + benefits, including Pension, Life Assurance, Health Cash Plan and free on-site parking. Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week.

An analytical thinker and ACCA or CIMA qualified/part-qualified, you will be an experienced financial accountant with strong mathematical skills, highly proficient in operating Sage and CRM systems, along with all MS office applications. Reporting to the Finance Manager and supported by the Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for processing general accounting transactions, managing cash flows, budgets and preparing data for reporting on month and year end, facilitating real -time financial analysis and forecasting.

Industry experience is essential and some knowledge of engineering and Construction Industry Schemes is desirable, in addition previous work within a SME environment would be advantageous.

This is a superb opportunity for an individual who is looking to expand their experience and work within a fast-growing company.  Fuel Storage Solutions have been trading for over 20 years, your role will be pivotal in actively supporting and enabling their business expansion plans combined with protecting their commercial interests.

Key responsibilities of the role, although not limited to, will include:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Credit control and debt management
  • Inputting of nominal ledger journals
  • Preparation of wages for payroll processing
  • Monthly CIS tasks, including identifying VAT reverse charges
  • Preparation of Month and Year end – data analysis and reporting
  • Management and interpretation of budgets
  • Fixed Asset additions, disposals, depreciation
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislative standards.
  • Development and production of financial reporting to include management accounts, budget and forecasting, cashflow, R&D and patent box claims
  • Staff Management and development of a Finance Assistant
  • Use of and maintaining all computer software systems including Sage 50, BrightPay, Synergist (in-house job monitoring software), MS office suite, Breathe HR.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Be part or fully qualified in ACCA or CIMA
  • Have strong IT skills and Sage experience
  • Have strong commercial acumen
