Supporting Armed Forces Day

We are proud of our long-standing commitment to the Armed Forces community, pledging, demonstrating, and advocating support for those transitioning into civilian life.

This is why we like to recognise Armed Forces Day which this year was on 29th June.

Ex-military personnel have become a vital part of our Engineering Team, delivering expert services to clients nationwide.

At FSS, we are proud to offer an immersive employment experience and a supportive environment for those taking their first steps into civilian careers.

✅ We are members of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), achieving the Bronze Armed Forces Covenant in 2020 and the Silver in 2021.

✅ We regularly attend the Catterick BFRS Careers Fair to connect directly with those leaving the forces.

✅ We donate regularly to Hull4Heroes in memory of Carl Jones, our colleague and senior engineer who sadly died in service in October 2019. As a result, we introduced a death in service policy for all our team members.

A special mention must go to Engineers Jon Elwood, Ryan Prendergast, and Dave Thorpe from our Engineering Team, all ex-forces, who bring an incredible work ethic and drive from their time and training in the military.
